My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields reveals there's two new albums arriving over the next year
Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine has confirmed that the first of two records could be arriving as soon as November, with plans to release two albums over the next year.
My Bloody Valentine have a habit of not making music for a long period of time, but the MBV frontman Kevin Shields has confirmed fans will have a right treat as not one, but two new records are in the works.
In an interview recorded back in August at Japan’s Super Sonic Festival, the MBV frontman revealed how the band planned to release an EP in summer, and has since been developed into a new album. "We were trying to finish a short album of material. It was going to be an EP in the summer, but we decided not to, and decided to make it longer, so it will be seven tracks or eight tracks. Hopefully it will be finished...in the end of November...This year yeah."
Shields added, "“We’ll also be recording new material next year. There will be a lot of new material coming in the next… in the next year, there will be about two new records."
My Bloody Valentine returned with m b v back in 2013, which was their first album since 1991's iconic Loveless.
