My Bloody Valentine call out Spotify for using "completely incorrect and insulting" lyrics
My Bloody Valentine have put Spotify on blast for pairing their songs with "completely incorrect and insulting" lyrics.
Back in November last year, Spotify launched its global lyrics feature, but it seems shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine aren't happy with the result.
On Twitter last night (20 January), My Bloody Valentine called out the streaming platform, writing, "Just noticed that Spotify has put fake lyrics up for our songs without our knowledge. These lyrics are actually completely incorrect and insulting."
They added, "We’re not sure where they got them from, probably one of those bullshit lyrics sites on the internet."
