Moses Boyd recruits Katy B to feature on rework of "2 Far Gone"
Moses Boyd has called on fellow South Londoner Katy B to feature on a fresh version of his Dark Matter album track "2 Far Gone".
The British composer and jazz drummer has marked the one-year anniversary of his debut album Dark Matter by teaming up with Katy B on a reworked version of "2 Far Gone", which originally featured Joe Armon-Jones.
Katy B says of the feature, "I’m really honoured to link up with Moses on this remix to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Dark Matter, such a fan of Moses and the album so really excited to be part of it. The lyric "Too far gone" felt like something that you’re trying to hold on to but too much has happened to be saved. The instrumental has such an energy and drive but also a darkness and drama to it so wanted to explore that feeling of an internal battle, trying to find a way to let go."
Boyd adds, "So glad that we could make this collaboration happen. Much love to the legend Katy B for featuring on this version."
As well as releasing his own music last year, Boyd collaborated with Basement Jaxx's Simon Ratcliffe on Village Of The Sun single "Ted", and featured on Kelsey Lu's December single "let all the poisons that lurk in the mud seep out" alongside Yves Tumor and Kelly Moran.
