Mogwai have beaten grime legend Ghetts to the top of the UK albums chart with their 10th studio album As the Love Continues, and they're "unbelievably happy" at the result.
After battling with Ghetts' Conflict Of Interest album to reach the top of the UK albums chart this week, Mogwai have achieved their first number one album following the release of their 10th studio album As the Love Continues last Friday (19 February).
In a video posted to socials, Mogwai reveal they're "unbelievably happy" with the result.

Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite told The Independent of getting the top spot, "It’s not something we ever considered or prepared for. It’s just this massive lovely surprise."
He added, "It’s cool. Ghetts was on the news driving a tank through London and we thought ‘This is insane…’ I don’t know anyone who knows a tank."
