Mausi take matters into their own hands and return with new single "Famous"
Mausi have returned after years of silence - and comeback jam "Famous" is just the beginning, with more releases planned over the coming months.
"Famous" is the band's first song in three years following 2014's "My Friend Has A Swimming Pool". The glistening cut is stuffed with house stabs and Mediterranean pop motifs - it's aimed squarely at the dancefloor and it gets you moving from the first beat.
"We were just sitting on all these tracks and got sick of not having them out there so just taking matters in to our own hands," the band's Daisy Finetto tells us.
Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Clean Bandit) is on production duties.
"[We] always had one mission: dream big and fuck things up," Mausi say in a statement. "But we got carried away with the promise and excitement of the music industry. We were young. So we took a break. Two years later, we’re now free to do what we want. Release music the way we always wanted to. No compromises. 'Famous' was written three years ago, and it’s a tribute to being young and free and full of ambition. It was always a live favourite, so it was the natural first choice for release."
