Watch: Mausi – Sol (Best Fit Session)
As the upbeat joy of sunny afternoons gives way to a grey mess, we can only reminisce about the glorious tunes that soundtracked 2013′s unprecedented UK summer. Mausi’s name comes high on the list of thank-you cards we should probably write before a precarious inner darkness drags us kicking and screaming into yet another purgatorial winter the subsequent existential crisis…
While ‘sol’ was recorded alongside our earlier session with the (now) London-based four piece a few weeks back, it resounds with the same cocky Riviera wink as its melodic cousin, charming us back into a pair of tan espadrilles and the promise of a night dancing and drinking Aperol Spritz with a beautiful-but-suspicious bit of Eurotrash who claims to be ‘something to do with the Monaco royals’ but actually ends up to be a very distant Kardashian. Oh come on, we’ve all been there. Seriously.
Watch ‘sol’ above. The band’s recent single ‘Move’ is available over on iTunes.
