
Lewsberg follow up their debut album with fresh single "Cold Light of Day"
Rotterdam four-piece Lewsberg are back with a fresh single "Cold Light of Day".
"Cold Light of Day" is the group's first new offering since releasing their self-titled debut album in February.
The new offering is a glimpse of what's to come on their second LP, which is due to land next year.
Discussing the new single, guitarist Michiel Klein says, "When I wrote the music for this song, I tried to keep things simple as always. I managed to squeeze out a guitar solo at the end. It baffles me every time, because I’ve never cared for, or in fact even hated, guitar solos."
"Cold Light of Day" will be released on a limited cassette with B-side "Cold Night". Klein says of the B-side, "The B-side "Cold Night" is an instrumental. A lot of people tend to focus on the literary aspects of our music, but the musical part is as important to us. The absence of lyrics or a human voice leaves more space for the interpretations of the listener, and we value this space a lot."
