Lanterns On The Lake announce new punchy LP Beings
Following on from the critically acclaimed Until The Colours Run, the Newcastle six-piece Lanterns On The Lake have returned with an announcement of their third album Beings. On top of that, they have unveiled the track "Faultlines" from the LP, a heartfelt and romantic political expression of contempt against austerity - and a call to arms for something better.
The track showcases the results of the band's experimentation with their signature atmospheric rock, lead by guitarist Paul Gregory.
Written, rehersed and recorded in a studio in Newcastle, the tone of the album is captured by the released track below as vocalist Hazel Wilde creates a dichotomy between her soft, melodic vocals and her obvious outside, political concerns.
Beings is out 13 November on Bella Union.
The band have also announced a U.K. tour starting in November, which you can find details of at the bottom of the page.
