Rae Morris, The Magic Numbers, and Jermain Jackson to play Labour's first music festival
The UK Labour Party has announced its first ever music festival, with Rae Morris and The Magic Numbers set to play the London event this summer.
Jermain Jackman will also play the one-dayer, named Labour Live, which takes place at Tottenham's White Hart Lane recreation ground on 16 June. As well as live music, politicians such as leader Jeremy Corbyn, shadow chancellor John McDonnell, and shadow secretary of state for international development Kate Osamor are set to make appearances.
As well as music and politics, festival goers can expect children's entertainment and a literature bill (presumably TBA).
Last year saw Jeremy Corbyn thrill the masses at Glastonbury Festival, while the Conversative Party made a laughable rebuttal in the form of Big Ideas - dubbed a "Tory Glasto" - which saw crowds of up to 200. While the Tories have struggled to make headway in the music world, Corbyn's found many fans and weighed into some of the biggest events in recent memory... such as the Wolf Alice vs. Shania Twain chart battle.
