Jim James and Madison McFerrin cover songs for Secretly Canadian’s 25th anniversary
My Morning Jacket's Jim James and Madison McFerrin are the latest artists to cover songs as part of Secretly Canadian's 25th anniversary Singles series.
The latest instalment of Secretly Canadian's SC25 Singles series have been released, which sees My Morning Jacket's Jim James cover "Seasons" by Steve Miller Band, and Madison McFerrin's version of Here We Go Magic's "Over the Ocean".
The new covers follow previous SC25 outings including NNAMDÏ's version of Kacey Musgraves' "Lonely Weekend", Beach Fossils' cover of Kelly Lee Owens' "L.I.N.E.", a cover of Jens Lekman’s "If I Could Cry (it would feel like this)" by Stella Donnelly, Porridge Radio's reimagined version of Scout Niblett's "Wet Road", Skullcrusher's version of Damien Jurado’s "Cloudy Shoes" and Green-House's cover of Bill Evans’ "Peace Piece".
Secretly Canadian aims to raise $250,000 for Bloomington organisation New Hope For Families as part of its year-long 25th anniversary plans via the reissues and singles.
