Jelani Blackman returns with new single "Pattern"
Jelani Blackman has unveiled his breezy new track "Pattern", marking his second outing of the year.
"Pattern" follows Blackman's "Gone Freestyle" that landed in February, and features production from Jay Weathers (Stormzy, Not3s, Mr Eazi), Conor Bellis (Rudimental, Tom Walker) and George Conway.
"I’ve wanted to have a tune like this out for the longest time," he says. "I love summer and for me, this is exactly what I would be listening to at this time of year, so I’m happy that I could make something to vibe to. It’s about life and how it dips and moves in mad ways, but you can always just go with whatever happens."
The rapper and singer is yet to follow up his 2019 EP Average Joe. On top of releasing
his own singles last year, Blackman also collaborated with Fraser T. Smith and Ghetts on Future Utopia's 12 Questions track "Nature Or Nurture? / Am I Built Like This?".
