Hear Japandroids live footage of new song sneaks online
Shaky and frenetic, yet brilliant-sounding, video footage of new Japandroids track "Near To The Wild Heart Of Life" has found its way online.
The new song comes after the Canadian duo played a bunch of new music as part of their four-night residency at Cobalt in Vancouver. Guitarist Brian King says at the start of the video “this song will be on the internet in about three and a half weeks” - another, more specific tip to the upcoming album?
The record follows Japandroid’s Celebration Rock album of 2012, a collection of songs that critically surpassed the high standard set by their debut album Post-Nothing.
If this new song is anything to go by, the third album is something to get very excited about. It epitomises the punk-rock, fist-pumping, head-banging anthems that got the band noticed in the first place.
