James Vincent McMorrow returns with supremely smooth "Rising Water" from new LP We Move
James Vincent McMorrow has shared "Rising Water", the first single from upcoming third album We Move.
McMorrow's music was sampled on Drake's recent LP Views, but that's not where the links end - some of Drake's key collaborators, namely nineteen85 and Frank Dukes, have helped co-produce. Two Inch Punch also added production, with Jimmy Douglass on mixing duties.
We Move was written on the road and recorded in Toronto, Dublin, and London, and is described as a "portrait of anxiety and social unease... it’s about celebrating mental fragility - and how we move forward in life."
McMorrow's also detailed a lengthy run of UK/EU shows, including a London Roundhouse headline spot in October - find out more on his website.
We Move is out 2 September via Believe/Caroline. It follows 2014's Post Tropical.
