J. Cole's The Fall Off album is at the end of his to-do list
J. Cole has shared a rough release schedule, and his new album The Fall Off is the final thing on his to-do list.
Yesterday (29 December) J. Cole posted on Instagram for the first time in nearly a month - his last post being the announcement for his Ebony and Ivory PUMA RS-Dreamer trainer.
J. Cole's latest upload shows a rough release schedule in his notebook - without any dates - for 'The Fall Off Era'. The rapper has crossed out the word 'features' and 'ROTD3', the latter referring to his Dreamville compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers III.
There's three things on J. Cole's list that haven't been crossed out - The Off-Season, It's A Boy and The Fall Off, which J. Cole has been teasing since the release of "The Climb Back" and "Lion King on Ice" in July.
It does look like J. Cole could be teasing his retirement with the post, as he's captioned it: "I still got some goals I gotta check off for’ I scram..."

The rapper first discussed retiring back in July as part of his The Audacity essay, which saw him write, "On my career bucket list, there remain a few more items to check off before I give myself permission to enter whatever the next chapter of my life may be. However, as I approach the summit of this mountain, I still find myself staring at that other one in the distance, wondering if I can climb."
