A nameless, artistless track has appeared on The xx's 'In The Studio' playlist... but is it actually by The xx?
The 55-second composition is released by Young Turks - giving some credence to the idea it's by The xx - and is full of blustery synths and ambient textures. It certainly sounds a bit like it could've erupted from the fingertips of Jamie, Romy, and Oliver.
It gives little away if it's a teaser of their upcoming third LP, but it's nice to have a sonic update at last.
The xx's most recent album, Coexist, was released in 2012.
