Iggy Pop announces new European tour including show at London's Royal Albert Hall
Iggy Pop has announced a new European tour, which includes a stop at London's Royal Albert Hall in May.
He'll be playing music from upcoming collaborative record Post Pop Depression, which was written and recorded with Josh Homme. The LP also features Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders and Homme's Queens Of The Stone Age bandmate Dean Fertita.
The tour will be the "sole occasion" that the full album line up of Pop, Homme, Fertita, and Helders perform together. Matt Sweeney and QOTSA's Troy Van Leeuwen will also be playing.
Speaking about the album, Pop says: "A lot of geezers my age don't work out of their comfort zone anymore because once you become legendary you don't want people challenging you.”
Pop's already aired "Gardenia" and "Break Into Your Heart" from the album.
Post Pop Depression is out 18 March via Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International.
Tickets for the tour will be on sale from 9am 29 January.
