Hilary Woods has unveiled new ballad "Orange Tree", the second taster of her forthcoming album Birthmarks.
"Orange Tree" is the second track on Birthmarks, and is released after last month's lead single and album opener "Tongues of Wild Boar".
"For me, "Orange Tree" is a personal song acknowledging an inner fear of the unknown," says Woods. "It's an exercise in overcoming, becoming more planted and rooted in the earth and in the body."
Birthmarks will follow on from Woods' 2018 debut album Colt.
The new album was recorded between Galway and Oslo in winter 2019 while Woods was heavily pregnant.
"Orange Tree" is out now. Hilary Woods' Birthmarks album arrives via Sacred Bones on 13 March, and is available to pre-order now. She plays London's Cafe Oto on 18 May. Find out more.
