Halsey launches Black Creators Funding Initiative to "amplify their art"
Halsey is launching the Black Creators Funding Initiative "to give funds, resources, and a platform to black creators".
The Manic singer/songwriter has been involved with the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests in the US over the past couple of weeks, even going as far to treat protesters' injuries.
Yesterday (11 June), Halsey decided to announce her new project, the Black Creators Funding Initiative. The fund is to help "black creators and amplify their art, voice and perspective. This ongoing initiative will be entirely funded by the Halsey team."
They want art from black artists, poets, graphic designers, writers, filmmakers, music producers, journalists, make-up artists, and more, and Halsey will promote their work on her socials.
Halsey captioned the post, "I am launching this to give funds, resources, and a platform to black creators. Looking for black creators who want to enrich the world with their work."
