Grimes unveils new single "Violence"
Grimes has shared new single "Violence", the first to be lifted from her first album in four years, Miss Anthropocene.
On Tuesday (3 September), Grimes posted some artwork for the new single, captioning the post "A new way to die", which was believed to be the single title.
Now Grimes has unveiled the full single, which arrives with a self-directed visual, and it's actually titled "Violence", and features production from LA producer and DJ i_o.
According to NME, during the video premiere on YouTube, Grimes confirmed the titles of her next two singles, "4AM" and "So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth".
Grimes' new album Miss Anthropocene will be her first since 2015's
When announcing her new album earlier this year, Grimes revealed it's "a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate Change: A psychedelic, space-dwelling demon/ beauty-Queen who relishes the end of the world.
On top of her "We Appreciate Power" single with HANA last year, Grimes has featured on Poppy's "Play Destroy", Bring Me The Horizon's "nihilist blues", and Jimmy Urine's "The Medicine Does Not Control Me".
