Greentea Peng responds to recent political and societal turmoil on new single "Revolution"

"Revolution" is the first outing from Greentea Peng since August's "Hu Man", and sees the artist reflect on this turbulent year over a dubby, reggae-infused melody.

On the new single, Greentea Peng shares, "A result of recent turmoil: political, societal, and individual. 2020, a painfully transformative year for the collective. "Revolution" is a product of this pain and also the anger we’ve been struggling to move through, at the same time it represents the hope conjured. A reminder to remember where the first revolution must take place and also a reminder to be aware of where and what we put our energy and belief into. What ideologies are we reinforcing, and if there’s room for them in the new unified future we are trying to create. "Revolution" poses the question, who’s new world will this be?"

As well as releasing "Hu Man" this year, Greentea Peng collaborated with The Streets on "I Wish You Loved You As Much As You Love Him" in June, released "Ghost Town" in March, and featured on p-rallel's Soundboy EP track "soulboy".

She's yet to follow up her 2019 EP RISING.
