Glastonbury could happen in 2018, but only on one condition
Glastonbury Festival is supposed to take a breather (aka a 'fallow year') in 2018, but organiser Michael Eavis says it could happen after all.
Speaking to The Guardian, the festival boss revealed that he's "already regretting" the decision to go on hiatus next year. They're taking the break so that the site - a working farm - can regenerate a bit and permanent damage to the land can be avoided, and so the team and local village can have a break.
"There’s one band I want to reform - if they reform, I’ll change my mind..." Eavis told the paper.
Although Eavis kept schtum on which band it is that's got Glastonbury 2018 in the palm of their hands, he did reveal it's "not One Direction". Gotta be Oasis, right?
Both Michael and daughter/co-organiser Emily are certain on a return to Worthy Farm in 2019, with acts apparently already scheduled for 2020 - the festival's 50th birthday.
