Girl Ray detail debut LP Earl Grey and share new track "Preacher"

The album includes already-heard tracks "Stupid Things" and "Where Am I Now", and sees 19-year-old Poppy Hankin, Iris McConnell, and Sophie Moss expand upon their vintage-flecked pop brilliance.

"I wrote the melody for the first part a few years ago on a little toy Elvis guitar that I bought in a charity shop," explains Hankin of the new track. "Its tuning was really weird, and this song was the only thing I could really get out of it. The melody suited a love song, so I went with it."

Girl Ray play The Great Escape and a (sold out) date at London's The Lexington this month before a hefty summer of festivalling, including stops at Green Man and End Of The Road. As well as the album details and new song, Girl Ray have also announced a headline show for 9 November at London's The Scala.
