Franz Ferdinand have shared a new teaser on social media featuring 10 seconds of synthy music and a tantalisingly close date.

It looks like the quintet - who have a newly revamped lineup since the departure of founding guitarist Nick McCarthy - are making good on their summer word to release new music soon. The date teased is just a couple of days away.

Franz Ferdinand's most recent album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action was released in 2013. The band teamed up with glam veterans Sparks for 2015's FFS project.
