Long-time guitarist Nick McCarthy has parted ways with Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand.
The band and McCarthy have both released a statement about his departure, stressing that the decision may not be permanent.
They add: “We’d love to be able to say this is a result of personal or musical differences, but it’s not. Those differences are what we formed the band around in the first place.”
Franz Ferdinand's latest album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action was released in 2013. The band teamed up with glam veterans Sparks for last year's FFS project.
