The Grammy nominated Fontaines DC have covered "I’m A Man You Don’t Meet Every Day" by fellow Irish group The Pogues.
Fontaines DC covered The Pogues' 1985 version of "I'm A Man You Don't Meet Every Day" during a session for US radio station SiriusXM, and saw Fontaines DC swap the guitars for a piano melody while also adding in vocal harmonies.
The Pogues recorded their version of the traditional Irish and Scottish song for their Rum Sodomy & the Lash album with bassist Cait O’Riordan on vocals.
Last week Fontaines DC contributed to the Windmill Brixton Action! Auction! fundraiser helping save the music venue from permanent closure.
A couple of weeks ago Fontaines DC received their first Grammy nomination for their second album A Hero's Death, which is up for Best Rock Album.
