Fan finds huge similarity between Rosie Carney's "Thousand" and Harry Styles' "Sunflower, Vol. 6"
A fan has found an undeniable similarity in the melodies of Rosie Carney's "Thousand" and Harry Styles' "Sunflower, Vol. 6".
A fan posted a clip last Friday (13 December) comparing the two melodies in both songs. Carney retweeted the post on Tuesday (17 December), writing, "well this is pretty fucked up."

The two melodies are very similar, but Carney released her "Thousand" song in November 2018, while Styles released his "Sunflower, Vol. 6" song with his Fine Line album last week.
Carney added in a separate tweet, "I literally have nightmares about this kind of thing happening."

Following the discovery, Carney has also addressed the negative messages she's received, "There is no need for people to get nasty. My work is my work and I’m going to stand up for my own integrity as a musician. If you disagree, fine. But don’t be an asshole, it’ll just say more about you as a person."
