Everything Everything swang by the Radio 1 Live Lounge today (16 June) to cover Kelly Clarkson's "Heartbeat Song".
The original, a highly-polished piece of guitar-led pop, has been transformed by the Manchester-based noiseniks, losing its abrasive edge in the process. It's no longer a pop palpitation, but an abstract arrhythmia with sleek synths and bubbly production; less anthemic, more pensive.
The band release third LP Get To Heaven on 22 June via RCA.
