Emily Eavis confirms Paul McCartney will headline Glastonbury 2020
Emily Eavis has confirmed that Paul McCartney will be headlining Glastonbury's 50th anniversary event in 2020.
This morning (18 November), McCartney shared a cryptic post on socials with a picture of Philip Glass, Emma Stone, and Chuck Berry. Add their surnames together and you get Glastonbury.
A few hours after McCartney's post, Glastonbury's co-organiser Emily Eavis confirmed news of his headline slot for next year's festival. She wrote on Instagram, "IT’S REAL!! So excited... Having Paul McCartney coming back to headline the Pyramid next year is an absolute dream come true. There really was no one that we wanted more for the 50th anniversary."
The former Beatle will headline Glastonbury's Pyramid stage on Saturday 27 June.

He last played the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 2004.
McCartney is the second performer confirmed for next year's festival after Diana Ross, who will play the legends slot on the Sunday (28 June).
Earlier this month Eavis revealed the Other Stage will host "Pyramid level headliners".
