Eliza Shaddad unveils first single of the year "Girls"
Eliza Shaddad has shared new single "Girls" ahead of her headline show at Pop Brixton for Big Indie Autumn Sessions in partnership with The Line Of Best Fit.
"Girls" is the first single to be shared from Shaddad's new EP, Sept ~ Dec.
The new single is produced by Mr BJ Jackson, who wrote on Instagram about the new single, "We spent a few weeks this Summer recording in a remote bungalow in Cornwall and this is the first song to be released from that session and I think it sounds good."
Speaking to Best Fit about the song and EP, Shaddad says, "I guess it would be sort of a call to people to reach out to each other. ["Girls"] is literally about not being able to communicate - but trying to - and that's what the rest of the EP is about. The kind of onus is about reaching out to find similarities and connection, even though it's hard. I’m not going to tell people, 'Examine their relationships!', but, I mean, I hope listening to it brings people closer to other people - makes them think about their relationships and realise that they can be closer to people if they want to be."
The new offering lands ahead of her free headline show on 6 November at London's Pop Brixton for Big Indie Autumn Sessions in partnership with The Line Of Best Fit.
