Courtney Barnett's new album is "getting close", which is very exciting
Courtney Barnett's new album might be coming along sooner than we thought - in a new interview the Austrialian artist said it's "getting close".
In a chat with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Barnett revealed that she's "trying to come up with a title for my new album."
"It’s all one sentence thoughts, you know trying to come up with something clever," she continues. "It's, well, I mean... maybe I gave too much away but it's getting close."
The new album will follow Barnett's recent collaborative LP with Kurt Vile, Lotta Sea Lice, as well as 2015 opus Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit. She's been sharing the odd tune in recent months for various clubs and compilations, including "How To Boil An Egg", "Pickles From The Jar", and "Three Packs A Day", but it's unknown whether any of these are destined for her next proper record.
