Charli XCX promises fans with "mainstream album coming soon"
Charli XCX has promised fans via Instagram with a "much needed mainstream album coming soon".
Back in March Charli XCX teased that her next album will be "POPTASTIC", and has since revealed she's been working on music with Tove Lo, and has been texting Rina Sawayama about making a song together.
Yesterday (23 May) on Instagram, Charli XCX posted a screenshot from a recent episode of the British television gameshow The Chase, which featured the question: "What is the stage name of the English pop singer Charlotte Aitchison?" with the answers: "Charli XCX", "Charli SFX" and "Charli XXL".
Charli XCX captioned the post: "ok guys... much needed mainstream album coming soon i promise."
In the comments, one fan wrote, "sucker stans our time is now", which gained a response from Charli XCX, "not quiitttteee sorry. I think this ones for the true romance angels."
