Caroline Polachek unveils new single "Billions" co-produced with Danny L Harle
Caroline Polachek is back with her first single of 2022, "Billions", which features co-production from Danny L Harle.
"Billions" is Polachek's first outing since featuring on Murkage Dave's "Awful Things" in November last year, and arrives with a video direted by Polachek and Matt Copson.
Polachek says of the new track, "The overabundance of this world overwhelms me. Sometimes it seems like ultimate tragedy, the earth being pillaged and destroyed for it. Sometimes it seems pre-human, beyond morality, sublime. I don’t pick sides, I just live here, with you. How does it feel, being so rich?"
The new song features co-production from Danny L Harle, much like Polachek's July banger "Bunny Is A Rider".
"Billions" also arrives with the b-side "Long Road Home", which is a vocal rework of her 2020 collaboration with Oneohtrix Point Never.
As well as working with Murkage Dave late last year, Polachek also reunited with Charli XCX and Christine and The Queens on "New Shapes".
She's yet to follow up her 2019 album Pang.
