Both Blood Orange and Fleet Foxes decided to cover The Strokes' "Under Control" at their separate shows in New York City over the weekend.
Blood Orange covered The Strokes' Room on Fire song last Friday (12 August) at Brooklyn's Baby’s All Right with help from Eva Tolkin, while Fleet Foxes covered the same song a day later during their show at Forest Hills Stadium. Fleet Foxes' cover also saw support act Uwade contribute vocals.
Just last month Beabadoobee released a cover of The Strokes' "The Adults Are Talking". Tame Impala also covered the band's "Last Nite" at Primavera Sound in June.
In June, Blood Orange featured on Blackhaine's Prayer EP title-track. The same month, Fleet Foxes' lead vocalist Robin Pecknold contributed vocals to Post Malone's "Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol".
