Billboard magazine launch music snob vending machine
Fed up of those so-called music fans that don’t actually buy the vinyl or download the MP3s but instead just wear the band t-shirts or, say, read hip glossy magazines to look good? Well, Billboard have the solution for you, launching what can only be deemed as a ‘music snob vending machine’.
The magazine have set up the Fan Check Machine campaign in Brazil, offering fans free issues of their publication if they prove they’re a true music aficionado.
In order to do so, members of the public simply have to sync their iPhone or iPod into said device and allow the system to correlate how many tracks you own of said cover star. If you have more than 20 tracks by that artist, then the magazine is yours.
For all those unlucky ones, well, you’ll just have to pay for it like everyone else.
