Bernie Sanders and Cardi B bond over Franklin D. Roosevelt in new interview
In a new interview at a Detroit nail salon, Cardi B sits down with 2020 US President candidate Bernie Sanders to talk politics, and they bond over a mutual respect for Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The 12-minute interview sees Cardi B ask Sanders about police brutality, wages in the US, immigration, healthcare, and student debt.
Cardi B and Sanders bond over their mutual respect towards the 32nd US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Cardi B opens the chat by joking, "Me and his wife have the same birthday." Later, she adds, "It's just like goddamn, I love him."
The superstar adds, "He's my favourtie." Sanders jumps in, "Well, I want to be your favourite after I'm elected."
Posting the interview on his Twitter, Sanders wrote, "Cardi B's nails are juuuust a little different than mine. Our views on the issues are pretty similar."
