Ben Khan's comeback is greater than we ever could've hoped
Producer/multi-instrumentalist Ben Khan has returned after almost three years of silence with leviathan new single "2000 Angels".
Khan, whose previous release came in the summer of 2015, is back in a big way with this dystopian number. It comes with a spectacular self-directed video, a mysterious lore-heavy website, and the promise of a debut album via Dirty Hit (The 1975, The Japanese House) produced with Flood (PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode), mixed by Spike Stent (Björk, Frank Ocean), and mastered by Dave Cooley (J Dilla, M83).
The song itself is a total beast. Funked-up beats and squirmy alt. R&B vibes pepper the jam - there's one obvious comparison - but instead of slipping into the shadows Khan erupts with a Max Martin-esque chorus that goes for the jugular. It's big.
