Angel Olsen unveils cover of Billy Idol's "Eyes Without A Face"
Ahead of Angel Olsen's Aisles cover EP landing on Friday (20 August), she's released a cover of Billy Idol's "Eyes Without A Face".
Olsen's version of Idol's 1983 track "Eyes Without A Face" is the third preview of Aisles, following her cover of Men Without Hats' "Safety Dance" and her take on Laura Branigan’s "Gloria".
The cover follows last week's acoustic version of her recent Sharon Van Etten collaboration "Like I Used To".
Aisles was recorded late last year at Asheville's Drop of Sun Studios alongside co-producer and engineer Adam McDaniel.
Olsen says, "I know it’s not really in my history to do something unintentional or just for the hell of it, but my connection to these songs is pretty straightforward, I just wanted to have a little fun and be a little more spontaneous, and I think I needed to remember that I could!"
