Drake is taking a break from music: “I need to focus on my health"
In an interview with “Table for One” on SiriusXM’s Sound 42 Friday morning, Drake revealed that he is going to be taking a break from music in order to focus on his health.
Drake's appearance on SiriusXM coincided with the release of his long-awaited album, For All The Dogs. Drake first announced For All The Dogs back in June. His eight solo album follows the 21 Savage collaboration, Her Loss, and is his first solo album since 2022's Honestly, Nevermind.
Speaking of his forthcoming hiatus, Drake said: “I probably won’t make music for a little bit...I’m gonna be real with you: I need to focus on my health, first and foremost."
He revealed that he has been suffering from the craziest problems with his stomach "for years" now and is finally going to take the time to address them as he believes it is important for "people to be healthy in life.”

“I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m going to do that,” he revealed. “So, I’ma lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is,” he continued, adding that he might be gone for “maybe a year.”
For All The Dogs features collaborations with the likes of 21 Savage, SZA, Teezo Touchdown, J Cole, Bad Bunny and more. His five-year-old son Adonis create the album's artwork.
