Black Honey present new single "Insulin" and announce album release tour
Brighton quartet Black Honey have shared "Insulin" as the latest preview of their fourth album, Soak.
Speaking about the track, Izzy B. Phillips says: "For ‘Insulin’ I wanted to explore tension, romantic dysregulation and the idea of being out of balance in your mind and body chemicals. I thought the word “insulin” wasn’t actually right when it first fell out of my head - maybe I was thinking more about serotonin at the time - but then found out it’s a hormone we all have that regulates your blood sugar and is directly affected by your emotional wellbeing. It was kind of accidentally accurate so I kept it."
The band have also announce details of a tour in support of Soak, with dates in Kingston, London, Bristol, Nottingham, Leeds, Brighton, and more.
Soak is set to follow Black Honey's eponymous debut album which was released in 2018, Written & Directed followed in 2021, and their last album A Fistful of Peaches which landed in 2023.
Soak, is set for release on 15 August, and is available to pre-save now.
