anaiis announces new album, Devotion & The Black Divine
French-Senegalese artist anaiis, who is now based in London, has announced her forthcoming album, Devotion & The Black Divine.
Recorded live-to-tape at 5dB Studios in London, Devotion & The Black Divine leans into uncertainty and acceptance, with neww motherhood being a core influence. The album features recent single, “Deus Deus”, which follows a string of releases that have acted as prelude to this new chapter: a reimagining of Lauryn Hill’s "To Zion" performed at Chaka Khan’s Meltdown Festival, and two remixes of "B.P.E. (Black People Everywhere)" – a standout from the Brazil sessions – by Sango and Hagan.
Devotion & The Black Divine, is set for release on 26 September.
