Cash+David return with a cold slice of electro-pop in "Alright Now"
Having tantalised our tastebuds and gratified our gullets with tracks like "Pulse" and "Funn", Cash+David make a bold resurgence with the chime-led dissonance of new song "Alright Now". Reminiscent of The xx and Grimes with the glossy finish of London Grammar, the wistful twosome take us on a sonic journey of revitalisation.
Tim Ross and Liz Lawrence have been charming folks everywhere with their delectable spin on the monotony of modern day synth-pop.
The pair have constantly set our hearts ablaze with yearning lyricism and bizarre soundscapes. On "Alright Now", the London-based pair channel mellow psychedelia into a weird but truly wonderful song that is equal parts sonic swimming pool and marmalade sky.
The enigmatic duo had this to say about their latest offering: "We’ve been waiting for a call from the mothership, getting ready to bring four different types of smoke, we got the call and this is the first... 'Alright Now.'"
"Alright Now" is the first track from Cash+David’s forthcoming EP, Side 1, released on 15 April. Their latest single, "Pains 4 U" (ft. Rome Fortune) is available now.
