Swimming Girls dip into the '80s for explosive jam "Back Of Your Car"
Bristol-based group Swimming Girls mix '80s motifs with dreamy glamour on new track "Back Of Your Car".
This new number is a sky-high mesh of power-pop melodies, dramatic vocal displays, fiery riffs, and shimmering percussion - it's loud, it's bombastic, it's oozing with emotion and it keeps you totally captivated for the three-and-a-bit minutes it's on.
The track is Swimming Girls' third in total, following "Tastes Like Money" and the massive "2 Kids", and it arrives just a few weeks on from a slot at our new music festival with rising indie troupe Pale Waves.
"For the last couple of months we’ve been busy recording our next couple of singles and working on the artwork/visuals with Aidan Zamiri," Swimming Girls told us recently. "I think these next chapters show us in a completely different light to our previous releases, so we’re really looking forward to hearing peoples’ responses. It’s been great to work with someone who is on the same page visually as us and what we want to achieve."
Swimming Girls will play London's Lock Tavern Festival in Camden on 31 March.
