"Afraid Of The Dark" is a creepily paranoid slice of dark trance pop from RABBII
Swedish trio RABBII have been on a consistent run of great bangers for over a year now, and they're keeping up the quality on their latest track.
Following up on "Majestic" and "Left For Dead", Johanna Berglund, Felix Persson and Mats Jönsson have unveiled the intense and unforgiving "Afraid Of The Dark".
”I wanted to do a track that would just let you dream away," says Berglund, "but I think your dream might be a nightmare. Think 'Every Breath You Take', but from the woman’s perspective."
Over trap beats and rave-y, sharp synths Berglund's alien voice twists and turns - with her haunting intonation of "follow" staying with you long after the track has ended. It's an intriguing mix of '90s trance and modern day dancefloor pop, and it's scarily good.
"Afraid Of The Dark" is out tomorrow via Hidden Mothers/ Roxy Recordings.
