Ouri’s “Escape” is a raw, solitary escapade into the primitive human condition
The blazing new track comes alongside the announcement of the release of her new EP.
Ouri has made her creative intention clear, and that is to break down all the barriers that come with creating art, delivering her message directly from herself to her audience. “As I continue to create music, I want the whole experience to be even more raw." She explains, also adding that "No one else is included for this one; from writing to mastering, the process is direct from me to the listener.”
"Escape" comes as Ouri's first release of 2018 and acts as a taster of her new EP We Share Our Blood, which is due to be released on 28 September via Ghostly International & Make It Rain. It marks a significant step forward for the electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist, where she takes full creative control and in doing so is able to create a sound that sounds immensely intimate and honest.
"Escape" judders along a sea of glitching beats whilst Ouri's vocals soar skywards. The song is perfectly paired with entrancing visuals that encapsulate a hypnotic, trance-like feel that draws you into Ouri's independently-crafted world of sonic soundscapes and endless possibility.
