Listen: Powder Blue - “Feel It” [Premiere]
We praised the “utter power” of Powder Blue’s performance in our review of The Great Escape Festival in Brighton earlier this year. The five-piece band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan continues to brew up a darkly enticing mixture of shoegaze and psych-rock with their new single “Feel It”, premiering today on Best Fit.
The inviting-yet-foreboding mood conjured by "Feel It" serves as a natural progression of the haunting, woozy sprawl that characterized the band's debut Dream in Black EP from last year. Woven through with tendrils of guitar reverb and hypnotic drums, "Feel It" culminates in a blaze of warm vocal harmony that dissolves to make room for the tune’s final ascent into looming distortion.
“Feel It” is available for streaming via Soundcloud. This track paves the way for the 8 December release of Powder Blue's new self-released EP, titled II. This EP release coincides with the band’s return to the UK for a string of tour dates. Watch Powder Blue's official website for details as they unfold.
