If you need something to appease what is most probably an exceptionally hungover, rainy and hopefully not actually flooded start to 2014, then take a dip into the ultra-ambient, chilled and exquisite music of Holly Lapsley Fletcher.
Lapsley, a seventeen-year-old vocalist and producer from Liverpool has provided the perfect outlet for the greyness that has so far defined the new year. Unbelievably minimal with gorgeous vocals, her latest track “Station” demonstrates a natural ability for creating warm, contemplative music.
Rummaging through the piles of stripped-back electronic music on the internet is rapidly becoming a bit of a task these days, but with “Station” Lapsley truly shines through as an artist with real potential. This downtempo track will hopefully be Lapsley’s opportunity to breakthrough and get some real recognition.
