Eddi Front pianist / producer Dan Chen returns today with his Color Of Clouds project alongside vocalist Kelli Scarr.
Posted moments earlier on SoundCloud, the two tracks that have appeared online are lifted from the duo’s forthcoming EP, Nine Of Arrows - a sumptuous blanket of 80s inspired synth pop.
The title track, ‘Nine Of Arrows’ is a steady paced analog beauty, brought to life with a heaven sent chorus line augmented by Chen’s combination of glistening synthesiser and warm toned guitar. Whilst the slightly slower paced ‘Reaches You’ is soaked in Scarr’s instantly disarming ethereal vocal – boosted by the flawless production – all subtle theremins and atmospheric builds that take the track to next level status and beyond. Both a massive indicator of how very special the EP could be.
Nine Of Arrows is released at the end of January.
