Alex Jayne curates more thoughtful, evocative alt-pop on “Clouds”
Following the ethereal “Backseat” and the nostalgic “90s Dream”, Alex Jayne is steadily making a name for herself with “Clouds”.
Alex Jayne's latest offering, “Clouds”, takes the form of an atmospheric track that builds intently, focussing on the London-based singer's celestial vocals at its core.
Speaking about the song, Alex Jayne says, “it’s that endless sense of summer where you’re so wrapped up in your world, you don’t notice the clouds above. Sometimes we question things that take life in a different direction, but in time you might see them in a new light.”
Produced with frequent collaborator Duncan Pym, “Clouds” harks back to a stripped-back and raw sound that fans of London Grammar and Daughter will no doubt appreciate, and keeps Alex Jayne firmly in the ‘ones-to-watch’ category.
