Listen: Superfood - "Right On Satellite"
Fresh from their time on the road with Wolf Alice, Birmingham quartet Superfood premiered their brand new single on BBC Radio 1 last night, and have once again cemented themselves as one of the country’s brightest new talents.
Cursing with the same contagious energy that’s already seen Superfood become somewhat of a household name, “Right On Satellite” is the sound of a band astutely at the top of their game. Jangling guitars and gliding vocals meet driving rhythms and a shout-a-long chorus, crafting a track that can just as readily whisk your thoughts away as it can get your body dancing.
A nonchalant charm breezes through the track, laced in the lyrics and along the refrains, capable of earning your affections in a heartbeat. But the band keep their prowess in check. With this release, Superfood are no longer trying to prove themselves – they’ve already won.
“Right On Satellite” is released on 28 July through Infectious Music.
