Aware of the traumatic incident, the ‘Hot In Herre’ rapper took the time when performed at the Roverfest venue in Berry’s hometown to pay tribute to the brave survivor by pulling her from the crowd and bringing her on stage.
“I wanna make sure we get a chance to thank you cause I know it’s a long time. I can’t even imagine the type of courage and strength it took to keep it going so, I commend you and thank you,” Nelly said to the crowd.
Kippnapper Ariel Castro will face spend a lifetime in jail after facing a number of charges involving the relating to Berry, DeJesus and Knight. Nelly is currently waiting to drop his new single featuring Nicki Minaj and Pharrell taken from his latest album ‘Mo’ due out later this year.
